Step into a fulfilling role supporting physical therapy services for students district-wide—serving a population of approximately 14,000. This contract position offers the flexibility of in-person or hybrid work, allowing you to blend direct student interaction and remote support as you address the needs of children from various backgrounds.

With a full-time schedule (37.5–40 hours per week) during the academic year, you'll collaborate with education professionals and families to deliver comprehensive direct and consultative services. Your expertise will play a vital role in evaluating students, designing individualized treatment plans, and contributing valuable insights during team meetings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois
  • Experience in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong consultation and evaluation skills
  • Comfortable adapting practices to individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility with both in-person and hybrid service delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy interventions to K-12 students
  • Conduct assessments and help develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Consult with teachers, support staff, and families on student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Attend and participate in meetings regarding student development and programming
