An opportunity is available for a skilled Physical Therapist to support students across a large district near Joliet, IL. This contract position offers the flexibility of working in-person or in a hybrid setting. The student population served is approximately 14,000, providing a dynamic and rewarding environment to make an impact throughout the school year, from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027. The full-time schedule is 37.5-40 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license for Illinois
  • Experience working in school-based PT or similar pediatric settings
  • Strong ability to provide direct and consultative physical therapy services
  • Capable of performing thorough evaluations and generating comprehensive reports
  • Effective communication skills to participate in meetings with educational teams
  • Willingness to travel within the district as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services to students, fostering growth and independence
  • Conduct evaluations to determine students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Provide both direct therapy sessions and consultation to teachers, staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with district policies
  • Attend and actively contribute to meetings, collaborating on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt interventions and strategies for a wide range of student needs, ensuring inclusive support across the district
