This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Special Education Teacher committed to fostering growth among students with a range of unique learning needs. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred
  • Ability to effectively support students with various disabilities
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, students, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
  • Willingness to coordinate with administration and participate in IEP meetings

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for middle school students
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to address varied learning levels and needs
  • Modify curriculum and classroom activities for accessibility and inclusion
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
  • Document and communicate student achievement and challenges with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom climate

This contract begins August 26, 2026, and continues through June 11, 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule (7.5 hours daily).
