Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred
- Ability to effectively support students with various disabilities
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
- Willingness to coordinate with administration and participate in IEP meetings
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for middle school students
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to address varied learning levels and needs
- Modify curriculum and classroom activities for accessibility and inclusion
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Document and communicate student achievement and challenges with stakeholders
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom climate
This contract begins August 26, 2026, and continues through June 11, 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule (7.5 hours daily).
