Job Description
Speech-language pathologists have a unique opportunity to support students as they develop vital communication skills. In this contract role, you'll collaborate with a dedicated group of educators to provide evaluation, intervention, and progress monitoring for students with diverse speech-language needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- State licensure (or eligibility) for SLP practice in schools
- Experience with IEP development and implementation in an educational setting preferred
- Strong skills in collaboration, organization, and communication
- Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for eligible students
- Deliver direct and consultative therapeutic services as outlined in IEPs
- Track and document progress toward student goals, maintaining compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other service providers
- Serve as a resource for staff on speech-language concerns and strategies
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
