Exciting opportunities are open for experienced Special Education Teachers to support students across a dynamic school district! Multiple full-time openings are available, starting August 31, 2026, and continuing through the end of the school year.
Roles Include:
- Special Education Assessment Teachers – district-wide, focusing on assessments, evaluation reports, and eligibility meetings.
- Special Education Teachers (Setting III/IV – Restore Program) – providing individualized support to high school students with significant behavioral, emotional, and academic needs.
- Elementary ASD Center-Based Special Education Teachers – multiple roles offering direct support to elementary learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder in center-based settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or closely related field.
- Current Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License or eligibility via reciprocity.
- Background in developing and managing IEPs.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA and special education compliance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Conducting special education evaluations, writing reports, managing IEPs.
- Serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional/behavioral disorders, and developmental or learning disabilities.
- Experience with structured teaching, PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, and BIPs.
- History of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining documentation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and associated progress.
- Provide specially designed instruction and behavioral interventions.
- Lead or participate in IEP and eligibility meetings.
- Collaborate extensively across general education, administration, and family teams.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
