Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners by providing crucial school psychology services in a collaborative and dynamic setting. This part-time, onsite opportunity is perfect for a School Psychologist with a genuine passion for early intervention and preschool assessment, eager to be part of a professional team evaluating children turning three, with an emphasis on autism and developmental assessments.

As part of a specialized team consisting of another Speech-Language Pathologist and two Diagnosticians, you'll contribute your expertise by participating in arena evaluations for preschool students. The caseload is focused and variable, with a limited number of evaluations tied to specific needs as they arise. You will play a vital role in helping families and educators gain valuable insights to best support young learners during these formative years.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure appropriate for the state
  • Previous experience with preschool or early childhood evaluations, particularly autism, highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable committing to 14-15 hours per week throughout the 26/27 school year
  • Flexible, adaptive approach and excellent communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Participate in arena evaluations for preschool-aged children as a key team member
  • Deliver thorough, strengths-based assessments and help identify learning needs
  • Collaborate closely with SLPs and Diagnosticians to interpret results and contribute to eligibility determinations
  • Provide clear, compassionate guidance and feedback to families and staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines

You’ll benefit from a school-based schedule, regular collaboration with dedicated colleagues, and the chance to start between August 10th and 17th. If you’re ready to contribute your expertise in a meaningful and impactful setting, apply today and help shape a positive start for preschoolers stepping into their educational journey!
