Key Responsibilities
- Review title commitments, title policies, surveys, and related real estate documents.
- Prepare initial drafts of loan documents, amendments, and ancillary closing documents.
- Draft closing instruction letters and assist with transaction coordination.
- Review and organize due diligence materials, including UCC searches, organizational documents, and insurance certificates.
- Maintain and update closing checklists and due diligence sites.
- Coordinate communications between attorneys, clients, lenders, and third parties.
- Manage transaction timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Support attorneys through all stages of commercial lending and real estate transactions.
- Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent legal experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial lending, real estate, or finance-related paralegal experience.
- Law firm or financial institution experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of lending transactions, due diligence review, and closing procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and proofreading abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience in a legal office environment.
- Experience providing administrative and transaction support.
- Familiarity with iManage and Intapp.
- Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a sense of urgency.
