Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school environment near Santa Clara, CA. This position spans two maternity leaves: the first running from August to January, and the second from January to June. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current, active California OT Licensure is required
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Familiarity with serving students with diverse eligibilities, including Autism, Speech Language Impairments, and other support needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for fostering growth, independence, and inclusion in children with varying support needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a caseload of 32 elementary students (plus 3 consult cases)
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement IEP goals
- Address a wide range of special education eligibilities—primarily Autism, along with Speech or Language Impairment, Other Health Impairment, Visual Impairment, and Specific Learning Disabilities
- Support 20 students with moderate/severe needs and 12 with mild/moderate needs, adjusting interventions accordingly
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in required team meetings
