Physical Therapist - School Setting in Ohkay Owingeh, NM

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state or eligibility to obtain
• Experience in school settings highly desired
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, students, and families
• Flexibility to work across different sites within the district
• Comfortable managing a small caseload and adapting to travel requirements
• Readiness to start as soon as possible

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ motor skills and mobility needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
• Travel between assigned schools as needed; mileage reimbursement provided
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations
• Deliver direct therapy services in a manner that engages and motivates students
• Document progress and maintain compliance with all reporting requirements
• Educate staff and caregivers on strategies for incorporating therapy into daily routines
