Occupational Therapist School Setting in Everett, WA

This contract opportunity in the Everett/Marysville area runs from September 2, 2026, through June 15, 2027, and offers the chance to actively shape individualized education programs while contributing to the ongoing growth and refinement of occupational therapy services.

Your key contributions will include:

Required Expertise:

• Valid Washington State ESA certification as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong foundation in trauma-informed care, child development, and differentiated learning styles
• Knowledge of implicit bias, racial equity, culturally responsive teaching, and anti-racist practices
• Familiarity with whole child support through multi-tiered systems (Tier 1-3), as well as current special education regulations and district/state/federal confidentiality mandates
• Awareness of legal requirements relating to mandated reporting, family law, truancy, and supporting students experiencing homelessness or in foster care
• Training or openness to pursue instruction in restraint and aversive interventions

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of occupational therapy supports and student IEPs
• Collaborate meaningfully with educators, students, and families to ensure culturally responsive, strengths-based interventions
• Empower students’ social, emotional, and academic development, applying trauma-sensitive and whole-child principles
• Maintain thorough, confidential records and adhere to all compliance standards
