Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an engaging, in-person school environment. This full-time, itinerant position will have you working across four different school sites, offering both variety in your day and the chance to impact a diverse student population. You’ll play an essential role in helping students thrive academically and socially, providing vital speech and language services within a collaborative school team.

The assignment begins in August, with the possibility of orientation or training sessions in July 2025 to familiarize you with district practices and team members. Typical working hours are 7:30am to 3:00pm, allowing for a balanced schedule and ample time to connect with students and colleagues.

Requirements and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences (required)
  • Active, valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Virginia by start date
  • ASHA CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience working with students in school or healthcare settings (SLPA experience a plus)
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the flexibility to work across multiple school sites
  • Passion for working with K-12 students of varying backgrounds and abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and provide therapy to K-12 students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Travel between up to four school locations as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
