Job Description
Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher at the middle school level in a supportive educational environment. This full-time, contract-based role is focused on delivering resource services to students who benefit from specialized instruction. Desired Qualifications:
- Current state licensure or eligibility for certification in Special Education.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
- Experience working with middle school students in a resource setting is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students within the resource classroom, focusing on individual and small group needs.
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to promote skill development, independence, and confidence.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered culture.
- Communicate regularly with families, ensuring open and supportive partnerships.
