Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility) for the state
- Prior experience with elementary-aged or 4th-grade students preferred
- Strong background in ELA and Math instruction
- Experience with or interest in co-teaching models
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to individual needs
- Effective communication and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging ELA and math lessons tailored to IEP goals
- Collaborate with a co-teacher to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom
- Use data to monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Contribute to the development and review of IEPs
- Engage with families and support staff for student success
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation
