Social Worker | Burnsville, Minnesota

Take the next step in your school-based social work career with an engaging opportunity serving elementary students in an onsite setting. This contracted role offers the flexibility to create your own schedule within a highly supportive environment, working three days a week (8:00am-4:30pm) during the school year. You will provide essential social work services, supporting children and families while collaborating with dedicated educational teams.

Your schedule can be customized according to your needs, within the part-time hours of 20-25 per week. The assignment runs from August 19, 2026 to May 18, 2027, and caseload assignments are focused on elementary students, allowing for meaningful engagement and the chance to have a positive impact.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
• Valid Minnesota Board of Social Work Licensure (MSW, LISW, LICSW, LGSW)
• Minnesota Board of Teaching License
• At least three years of experience working with children and families in a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of special education students, delivering direct clinical services as specified by IEP goals
• Maintain accurate weekly progress notes to ensure compliance and support student success
• Collaborate closely with IEP teams to develop and update Individualized Educational Plans and FBAs/BIPs
• Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings for students on your caseload
• Conduct Social Work Assessments and contribute to Special Education Eligibility determinations
