General Gastroenterologist

Job Opportunity: Full-Time Gastroenterologist

Our organization is actively seeking a dedicated Gastroenterologist to become a part of our dynamic team within the Division of Gastroenterology. While a primary focus on General GI is preferred, we also welcome candidates with additional specialized skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Primarily engage in outpatient clinical duties, with responsibilities split between clinic visits and endoscopic procedures at both the hospital and ambulatory surgery center.
• Participate actively in the education of fellows, residents, and students.
• Receive mentorship and dedicated time for professional development.

The Division comprises 18 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers, specializing in areas such as therapeutic endoscopy, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), motility, and genetics.

Teaching and Collaboration

Our Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition features a growing faculty that practices at various locations, including the University Hospital, Riverside County Hospital, and the VA. This role will primarily be based at the University site, focusing on teaching fellows and residents. Faculty members are recognized nationally for their expertise in hepatology, therapeutic endoscopy, and IBD. The work environment is highly collaborative and dedicated to patient care and education.

Faculty within the Department of Medicine are encouraged to pursue academic interests through teaching and research, as well as to provide care to underserved populations through partnerships with local health systems. Compensation and Benefits

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $450,000 to $525,000, depending on years of experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives and is subject to departmental compensation policies.
