Elementary Middle School Special Education Teacher - Lancaster, CA

Make an educational impact as a contract special education teacher serving middle school students in a dynamic, supportive school environment near Lancaster, CA. This full-time position is ideal for compassionate, skilled professionals ready to start as soon as August 10th and continue through June 3rd. You’ll work Monday through Friday, clocking 37.5 hours each week. As a roving educator, you’ll collaborate closely with other RSP teachers to support a caseload of approximately 28 students, providing tailored instruction and fostering student achievement.

What You’ll Need:

• Valid Special Education Teaching credential (CA credential preferred, or eligibility for reciprocity)
• Experience supporting diverse learners at the middle school level
• Understanding of IEP processes and ability to implement individualized learning plans
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Dedication to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver engaging and individualized instruction to middle school students with a range of learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with other teachers and specialists
• Serve as a roving resource, collaborating with fellow RSP teachers to share strategies and resources
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all required documentation
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting both academic growth and emotional well-being
