Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Texas Physical Therapist Certification is required
- Previous experience providing PT services in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Ability to evaluate students, design, and implement effective IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow educators
- Comfortable working across a K-12 caseload, tailoring interventions to diverse student needs
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and compliance efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough student evaluations and assess physical therapy needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct PT services to students as outlined in their educational plans
- Work with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student progress and inclusion
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and support the school’s multidisciplinary team
