Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a progressive educational setting near Elgin, IL. With a 37.5-hour work week, you'll begin with orientation on August 3, and start working with students on August 6, 2026, continuing through May 27, 2027. Your placement will be thoughtfully matched to align with your expertise and passions within school-based SLP roles, whether you are CCC, CFY, or experienced in educational environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois licensure or eligibility (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY considered)
- Prior school-based experience is valued, but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to student-centered, collaborative therapy
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer therapy in individual, small-group, and classroom settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow SLPs during regular meetings and roundtables
- Participate in annual performance reviews and ongoing process improvement initiatives
- Engage in real-time communication with colleagues through an internal, social media-style platform
- Attend regular 1:1 check-ins and monthly team meetings with leadership
- Take part in a “Buddy Program” for a smooth onboarding experience
- Utilize readily accessible materials and equipment
- Access professional development to advance your school-based SLP skills
