JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Overview
Insight Global is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Logansport, IN. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of interior construction and finishing tasks, including drywall installation and repair, painting, trim work, and general carpentry. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of producing high-quality workmanship with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
• Install, repair, and finish drywall, including mudding, taping, sanding, and patching.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paint, stain, and finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces.
• Measure, cut, install, and repair trim, baseboards, crown molding, doors, and other finish carpentry elements.
• Perform general carpentry work as needed for residential and commercial projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Identify and communicate project issues, material needs, and potential delays.
• Work independently and collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in carpentry, drywall, painting, and finish work.
• Strong understanding of drywall finishing techniques and painting best practices.
• Experience installing trim, molding, doors, and other finish carpentry components.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and common construction equipment.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Travel to various job sites within approximately one hour of the office
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in residential remodeling, commercial construction, or maintenance projects.
• Ability to work from blueprints and construction drawings.
OSHA certification is a plus.
$45/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
