School Psychologist Job
Job Description
We're seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a supportive school team for the full school year! This position is split between Vernon Hills and Lake Villa, providing a unique opportunity to support students through evaluations, consultations, and direct psychological services.
Position Details
- Location: Vernon Hills & Lake Villa, IL
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 7.5 hours per day (lunch included)
- Duration: Full School Year
Caseload & Responsibilities
- Split assignment between two locations:
- Vernon Hills: Complete ECAT evaluations and attend related meetings (.5 FTE)
- Lake Villa: Serve as a traditional School Psychologist (.5 FTE)
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student success
- Provide consultation and recommendations for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Student Population
- Early Childhood through 8th Grade
Qualifications
- Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement (or ability to obtain)
- Previous school-based experience preferred
