Job Description
Support student success in an engaging educational environment as a school psychologist working with a PreK caseload. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity near Georgetown, DE, ideal for professionals passionate about providing comprehensive psychological services within a school community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with early childhood or PreK populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- State licensure for school psychology (or ability to obtain)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional evaluations for PreK students
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to decision-making regarding student interventions
- Offer consultation to staff and families regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
