This contract opportunity offers the chance to inspire and develop the musical talents of young learners from August 6, 2026, through May 25, 2027. This onsite position comes with full-time hours—37.5 each week—allowing you to fully immerse yourself in classroom instruction and band direction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana Teaching License or Certificate with appropriate music endorsements
  • Previous experience as a General Education or Music/Band Teacher at the elementary level
  • Strong knowledge of instructional methods for group and individual music education
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to create a positive, motivating, and inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging music and band curriculum for elementary students
  • Conduct band rehearsals and coordinate student performances and special events
  • Foster a supportive classroom culture that encourages participation and musical growth
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to strengthen the school’s music program
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in required meetings
