As an SLP in this environment, you’ll provide essential services to a manageable caseload—typically 10 or fewer students, many with Autism and a significant need for AAC devices. Flexibility, empathy, and innovative communication strategies are key.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active CCC-SLP certification
- Relevant state SLP licensure or eligibility by August 2026
- Prior experience in school settings preferred, especially working with Autism and AAC devices
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy tailored to each student
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document progress and maintain accurate records
- Consult with interdisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
- Provide input for AAC device selection, programming, and training
