Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working closely with students in the Laurel, MD area, offering direct speech-language support within multiple school settings. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help foster communication skills and academic success. This opening covers elementary, middle, and high school assignments, with flexibility to combine locations for full-time hours. The contract runs from August 10, 2026, through June 9, 2027, for a total of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
  • CCC-SLP credential or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based work for children and adolescents
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to foster relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Comfort working onsite in varied school environments

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments, interventions, and individualized therapy for students with diverse speech-language needs
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of student progress and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with educational teams to design effective treatment plans
  • Attend meetings, contribute to IEPs, and support robust communication among stakeholders
  • Adapt therapy approaches according to best practices and student responsiveness

  • Swansfield ES (5 days)
  • Elkridge Landing MS (2 days)
  • Hammond MS (3 days)
  • Howard HS (1 day)
  • Wilde Lake HS (4 days)
  • Potential full-time split position at Wilde Lake HS (0.8) and Howard HS (0.2)
