Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students during the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, on-site opportunity involves providing physical therapy services in a school setting close to Tacoma, WA. You’ll work closely with a diverse caseload of 35-40 students, helping them achieve their educational and physical development goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
- Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based PT role strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload of 35-40 students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments for students with varying needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress
- Document services, maintain detailed records, and participate in meetings as part of the IEP team
- Provide direct therapy services on-site—no remote or hybrid work available
- Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment
