School Occupational Therapist - Elgin, Illinois

Make a real impact supporting students’ growth and development for the full school year in a positive educational setting. In this contract opportunity located near Elgin, you will provide occupational therapy services to elementary and high school students across two supportive school sites. Your day will include working directly in resource and general education classrooms, collaborating with teachers and school staff, and making a noticeable difference in a small, manageable caseload.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Illinois
• Previous experience working in pediatric settings or schools is required
• Demonstrated experience with sensory integration techniques
• Skilled in goal setting, progress documentation, and data-driven interventions for school-aged children

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in both resource and general education settings
• Assess and document student progress, developing individualized treatment plans tied to specific goals
• Consult and work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to promote functional, academic, and social outcomes
• Serve a range of students, from elementary to high school, adjusting strategies to meet developmental and educational needs
• Support and participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights from your OT expertise

This position is full time at 37.5 hours per week for the full academic year, offering consistent hours and the rewarding experience of seeing student progress first-hand.
