RPh On The Go is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 13-week contract opportunity supporting a small acute care hospital setting in Wisconsin. This role is ideal for a hospital pharmacist with previous leadership or pharmacy management experience who is comfortable overseeing pharmacy operations independently.
The pharmacist will serve as the primary pharmacy resource onsite, managing daily pharmacy operations, compliance responsibilities, audits, inventory management, and medication distribution workflows.
Position Details:
Setting: Acute Care Hospital (Micro Hospital)
7-bed Emergency Department
8-bed Inpatient Unit
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Days | 40 hours/week
Duration: 13 weeks
Staffing Model: Sole pharmacist onsite

Omnicell Automation
Compounding: No sterile compounding required

Responsibilities:
Serve as Pharmacist in Charge and oversee daily pharmacy operations
Perform pharmacist verification and medication order review
Manage medication distribution processes and workflow
Complete pharmacy audits and regulatory documentation
Maintain medication inventory and oversee Omnicell restocking
Support compliance initiatives and pharmacy best practices
Partner with hospital leadership and clinical teams
Requirements:
Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License
Previous pharmacy leadership, PIC, or management experience
Prior inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
Experience with Epic preferred
Experience with Omnicell preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a small hospital environment
