Clinical Pharmacist - Malvern, AR

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading pediatric teaching hospital with 359 beds. This facility is renowned as one of the largest pediatric medical providers in the nation and is the only pediatric medical center in its state. Location: Malvern, AR
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions and medication plans.
• Provide medication counseling to patients regarding dosages and potential side effects.
• Ensure comprehensive and compliant pharmacy documentation.
• Verify dosage appropriateness based on patient diagnosis, weight, age, and body surface area.
• Intervene in cases of drug allergies, interactions, or adverse reactions.
• Evaluate non-formulary drug needs and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
• Monitor patient therapeutic outcomes and collaborate with healthcare providers for optimal care.
• Participate in education for patients, pharmacy staff, and students.
• Manage medication ordering and inventory processes, including resolving supply issues.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Arkansas.
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient experience preferred; new graduates are welcome.
• IV experience or IV certification preferred.
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) credential is a plus.
