Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field required
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with the relevant Science endorsement(s)
- Demonstrated understanding of curriculum design, planning, and classroom instruction
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Previous experience teaching middle school or 6th grade science preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and evaluate engaging science lessons aligned to state standards for 6th graders
- Foster an inclusive, energetic classroom climate where curiosity and critical thinking are encouraged
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learners and support student success
- Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Regularly assess and report on student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
