Elementary Middle School Special Education Teacher - Palmdale, California

Key Details:

• Start date is August 10th or as soon as possible; position continues through June 3rd
• Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• Roving role working collaboratively with other RSP teachers across settings
• Caseload of approximately 28 middle school students

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for California
• Demonstrated experience in elementary or middle school special education settings
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet students’ individual needs
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams is preferred
• Passion for fostering growth in diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students on your caseload
• Work alongside other RSP teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and regularly consult with parents and staff
• Attend required meetings, professional development, and team collaboration sessions
• Provide guidance and support in both individual and group classroom settings

For this role, compensation starts at $45+ per hour and is commensurate with experience and education level.
