Occupational Therapist School Setting in Arlington, TX

An exciting opportunity awaits for an Occupational Therapist prepared to make a meaningful impact across a diverse range of students in a supportive educational environment. In this contract role, you will work onsite with a small, collaborative district, partnering closely with two to three Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to provide essential evaluation and supervision services. This position spans the entire district, offering the chance to support multiple campuses while maintaining a set weekly schedule. You will ensure accurate documentation by submitting weekly timelogs for approval and contribute your expertise in occupational therapy to help students achieve their goals.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist license in Texas
• Experience in a school-based OT setting
• Familiarity with the ESPED IEP system
• Strong evaluation and supervision skills, with an ability to guide and collaborate with COTAs
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain caseload documentation and timelogs
• Adaptable, team-oriented mindset for working district-wide

What You'll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop intervention plans for K-12 students
• Supervise and consult with COTAs to ensure effective therapy delivery
• Manage a 37.5 hour/week caseload, ensuring adherence to district and state requirements
• Maintain regular communication with the Director by providing weekly timelogs
• Use ESPED for accurate documentation and compliance with IEP guidelines
• Serve as an advocate for student needs across the district in a variety of educational settings
