Pharmacist in Meridian, ID

A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 40-bed rehabilitation hospital in Meridian, ID. This role offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, providing consistent hours while contributing to quality patient care in a specialized setting. The assignment begins ASAP and extends for 13 weeks or more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately to ensure safe patient treatment
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, overseeing daily workflow and quality standards
• Consult regularly with nurses and physicians to optimize medication therapy and address patient needs
• Utilize pharmacokinetic principles to individualize dosing regimens for patients
• Work with the hospital’s Cerner IT system for medication management and documentation

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Idaho Pharmacist license or ability to obtain it quickly
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in rehabilitation or acute care settings, is highly preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar pharmacy information systems
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinical staff and healthcare teams

• Monday through Friday, day shifts
