You will work with students in grades 3, 4, and 5, within highly supportive ABA and FLEX classrooms designed to foster student growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Connecticut
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students, preferably with diverse and complex needs
- Familiarity with ABA strategies and self-contained classroom models is highly valued
- Ability to develop and modify IEPs in collaboration with related service staff and families
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to cultivating a positive classroom culture
- Adaptable, team-oriented, and proactive in supporting student goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals and state standards
- Provide behavioral and academic interventions in both ABA and FLEX self-contained rooms
- Track student progress through observation, data collection, and regular assessments
- Partner with paraprofessionals, therapists, administration, and families to support student success
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment
- Participate actively in meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
