Step into a dynamic role supporting young learners in an early childhood setting as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity, conveniently located near Arlington Heights, IL, lets you bring your expertise in speech therapy to a vibrant school environment. You’ll work 2.5 days per week, totaling about 18 hours, throughout the full academic year. Your impact will be immediate and meaningful as you help children build foundational communication skills to ensure their success.

For those seeking additional experience or expanded hours, there are also two full-time elementary maternity leave positions available: one from August through October, and the other from August through December. Both settings offer opportunities to collaborate with a passionate team and make a lasting difference in students' lives.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid licensure for speech-language pathology in Illinois
  • Experience in schools or early childhood programs preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to early childhood students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families
  • Assess, diagnose, and document students’ speech and language needs and progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and parent conferences
