Job Description
Step into a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting early childhood students during a maternity leave coverage assignment. This contract position offers two unique roles: a full-time position in Stockbridge and a part-time opening in Dansville, both designed to provide vital services to young learners. The assignment runs from December 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Michigan SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC)
- Experience working in school-based settings, specifically with early childhood-age students
- Strong communication skills and an engaging, child-centered approach
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers
- No SLPAs or virtual-only candidates (VOCO) considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each child’s needs
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation to support student growth
- Partner with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic interventions
- Engage parents and caregivers in the therapy process and provide updates
- Ensure services align with state and district policies
