Special Education Teacher - Longview, Washington

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience teaching or supporting students with various disabilities, preferably at the middle school level
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Comfortable with both in-person and virtual (Zoom) interview formats
• Collaborative team player who can work effectively with students, staff, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deliver, and assess instruction for middle school students with special needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and accommodations to meet diverse learning needs
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
