Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite opportunity calls for a dedicated professional ready to work collaboratively in a dynamic learning environment, providing instruction to students with a range of disabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher certification required
- Experience teaching or supporting students with various disabilities, preferably at the middle school level
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Comfortable with both in-person and virtual (Zoom) interview formats
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively with students, staff, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deliver, and assess instruction for middle school students with special needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and accommodations to meet diverse learning needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
