Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid California Credential for Moderate/Severe Special Education (ESN); Mild/Moderate certifications not accepted
- Previous experience or strong skillset in special education (moderate/severe ESN focus)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for high school students
- Adaptability, collaboration, and excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead a classroom of 9 students in grades 9–12 with moderate to severe special needs
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum as necessary
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies to best support each student
- Maintain records and documentation per state and federal guidelines
