Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid California Credential for Moderate/Severe Special Education (ESN); Mild/Moderate certifications not accepted
  • Previous experience or strong skillset in special education (moderate/severe ESN focus)
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for high school students
  • Adaptability, collaboration, and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a classroom of 9 students in grades 9–12 with moderate to severe special needs
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum as necessary
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families
  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies to best support each student
  • Maintain records and documentation per state and federal guidelines
