Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting preschool students with speech-language therapy and occupational therapy needs in an engaging educational setting near Thousand Oaks, CA. This full-time position spans multiple school sites, working with young learners ages 3-5 to foster their communication and developmental growth.
You'll collaborate daily with another Speech-Language Pathologist onsite, ensuring balanced support for up to 50 children on your caseload. As an integral member of the educational team, you will tailor interventions to meet individualized goals and partner with educators and families to create lasting progress for each child.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid California license or credential in Speech-Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy
- School-based experience (early childhood/preschool preferred)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a dynamic, diverse caseload across multiple school sites
- Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and schedules
- Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for preschool-aged students
- Provide direct therapy services and collaborate with classroom teachers and families
- Maintain comprehensive records and data for each child’s progress
- Support both speech-language and occupational therapy needs as appropriate
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise to support early intervention goals
- Coordinate shared responsibilities with an onsite SLP partner
