Job Description
Make a difference in students’ lives during the 2026–2027 school year by bringing your expertise and compassion to a dynamic, student-centered environment as a School Psychologist. You will be an integral part of a special education team, working across multiple school sites near Tempe, AZ. This full-time contract role spans Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with an immediate start and lasting through June 17, 2027. Compensation is competitive at $50 per hour, reflective of your experience, credentials, and the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
- Analyze and interpret assessment data, compiling clear, comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Actively participate in eligibility determination, IEP development, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to craft effective intervention and support strategies for students.
- Offer expert consultation regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Support crisis intervention and behavior management efforts as situations arise.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and district requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Current state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly regarded.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to collaborate within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
