Job Description
Discover an impactful opportunity as a School Psychologist serving young learners, ages 3 to 5, in a contract role. This position offers the flexibility to work either virtually or onsite, accommodating your preferences for either full-time or part-time engagement. The school’s current model leverages virtual services for OT and SLP, with onsite facilitators who are resourceful and well-trained, ensuring a seamless experience for both professionals and students.
Your start date would be August 24th, aligning you with a welcoming team just as the new school year begins. The role emphasizes collaboration, consultation, and support more than direct intervention—expect responsibilities that include conducting assessments and evaluations, providing some counseling, leading parent training sessions, and contributing to IEP meetings. The typical workday runs from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and includes a 30-minute lunch break, giving you structure as well as needed downtime.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility in Wyoming
- Experience in early childhood education (ages 3-5) is preferred
- Background in virtual or onsite school-based services
- Strong skills in assessment, evaluations, and IEP development
- Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable with providing parent training and light counseling
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations
- Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs
- Offer guidance and training for parents and staff
- Deliver counseling as needed to students
- Work collaboratively in a hybrid service model
