Step into an exciting opportunity to impact young lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school-based environment near Morganton, NC. This full-time contract role is set for the 2026–2027 academic year, with workdays running Monday through Friday and a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. You’ll primarily serve Nebo Elementary School, guiding a diverse caseload of approximately 43 students and playing a vital role in fostering their communication skills and confidence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid North Carolina SLP license (active licensure highly preferred)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in school settings strongly desired
  • Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students
  • Conduct assessments and interpret results for the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student growth
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and services rendered
  • Participate in team meetings, eligibility determinations, and professional development as required
