Multiple roles are available for the school year, with positions focused on dual-language Math/Science and Social Studies/ELA at the 5th and 6th grade levels, as well as an ESL teacher concentrating on K-2, including Pre-K. These onsite roles offer the chance to bring your expertise and enthusiasm directly into classrooms, helping students build a strong academic foundation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsements
  • In-depth understanding of curriculum design, instructional planning, and differentiated teaching
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience in general education or ESL settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction to assigned grade level
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching strategies and support student learning goals
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that embraces diversity and encourages student participation
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration for instructional planning
  • Implement appropriate strategies for dual-language or ESL classrooms according to assignment
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and school community

Assignment Details:

  • Onsite only, full-time schedule
  • Contract duration: August 17 through May 27, 2027
  • Opportunities available for dual Math/Science and SS/ELA positions in 5th & 6th grades, and K-2 ESL
