Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama Teacher’s Certification (with endorsement in English)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher; focus in English preferred
- Experience in Secondary Education and teaching ELA content
- Strong communication skills and classroom management abilities
- Proficient in integrating technology to enhance learning
- Motivated to foster a classroom climate of growth and safety
Responsibilities:
- Build a classroom culture that nurtures learning and personal progress
- Establish effective rapport with students and motivate them to achieve their best
- Guide students in developing essential skills and foundational knowledge in ELA
- Infuse technology into lessons to prepare students for 21st-century demands
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members
- Support and adapt to additional duties as assigned by school leadership
Position Details:
- Academic dates: August 11, 2026 – May 27, 2027
- Full-time hours: 37.5 per week
