Qualifications:

  • Valid Alabama Teacher’s Certification (with endorsement in English)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; focus in English preferred
  • Experience in Secondary Education and teaching ELA content
  • Strong communication skills and classroom management abilities
  • Proficient in integrating technology to enhance learning
  • Motivated to foster a classroom climate of growth and safety

Responsibilities:

  • Build a classroom culture that nurtures learning and personal progress
  • Establish effective rapport with students and motivate them to achieve their best
  • Guide students in developing essential skills and foundational knowledge in ELA
  • Infuse technology into lessons to prepare students for 21st-century demands
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members
  • Support and adapt to additional duties as assigned by school leadership

  • Academic dates: August 11, 2026 – May 27, 2027
  • Full-time hours: 37.5 per week
