Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment serving upper elementary to middle school students in the Tacoma area. This opportunity calls for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a focus on supporting student development. The position is full-time, operating Monday through Friday, with immediate start available through June. Work with a manageable caseload of 45 students, making a meaningful impact within a supportive school community.
Your expertise will help foster communication skills and contribute to the educational success of students aged 9–14. The hiring district is open to candidates with SLP-CCC who may have a pending ESA certification and will assist in expediting the process for the right professional.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Current ESA certification; district will consider pending with guidance
- Experience supporting upper elementary and/or middle school students preferred
- Familiarity with school-based SLP responsibilities (SLP - School experience)
- Strong collaboration skills with educators and families
- Ability to develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs)
