Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Ventura, CA
Job Description
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity serving preschool students in a dynamic school environment near Ventura, CA. This full-time role is designed for a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with a passion for early intervention, supporting children ages 3–5. You’ll work across multiple school sites, collaborating with an on-site SLP for additional support, and manage a caseload of up to 50 students. The assignment begins ASAP and continues through June 17, 2026, offering you the chance to make a significant impact throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California licensure or eligibility as an SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA
- Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged children
- Previous school-based or pediatric healthcare setting experience preferred
- Background in teletherapy or comfort utilizing virtual therapy platforms a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to individualized, child-centered intervention strategies
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders in preschool students
- Collaborate with another SLP and interdisciplinary staff, including opportunity to coordinate with Occupational Therapy
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services, both in-person and via teletherapy as needed
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with families and educational staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for up to 50 students
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team sessions
- Flexibly move between multiple school sites as needed
