Job Description
A rewarding opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathologists who are passionate about supporting students in an educational setting. This contract role is based near Eau Claire, MI, offering the chance to work closely with students in need of specialized communication support. This is a fully in-person position, focused on serving an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) population for the full academic year, from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027. The schedule is a consistent 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to build meaningful rapport and make measurable progress with your caseload.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Prior experience in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Deep understanding of best practices in supporting ASD students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, educators, and families
- Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans effectively
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments for students
- Develop and deliver therapy sessions targeted at improving speech, language, and communication abilities
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to support IEP development and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress and compliance standards
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide resources for families as needed
- Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students across the ASD spectrum
