A dynamic contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a vibrant school setting near Jersey City, NJ. The assignment begins September 15th and runs through October 22nd, with potential for extension. Committed to fostering student growth, this role is perfectly suited for professionals who thrive in pediatric settings, whether they are seasoned SLPs with their CCC, those with school-based experience, or Clinical Fellows eager for valuable experience. The position is three days per week, with caseload details being finalized.

Ideal candidates possess the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
  • New Jersey SLP licensure (or ability to obtain before start date)
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable
  • Strong collaboration skills and adaptability to evolving caseloads
  • Effective communication abilities for working with students, staff, and families

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing speech, language, and communication therapy to students based on IEP goals
  • Conducting assessments to guide intervention planning and therapy approaches
  • Maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Participating in IEP meetings and case conferences when necessary
  • Adapting therapy activities to meet individual student needs
