Desired Experience and Skills

  • State certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
  • Prior experience teaching or working with K-2nd grade students
  • Knowledge of social and emotional learning strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction to students with social and emotional needs
  • Design and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and parents
  • Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development
