This rewarding contract opportunity places you at the heart of student growth, supporting four kindergarteners and five first graders—primarily students with developmental delays—alongside two dedicated paraprofessionals. The class features a mix of general and adapted curriculum learners, offering a dynamic environment for an educator who excels in differentiation and individualized instruction.

What you’ll do:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations tailored to student needs
• Provide effective behavioral interventions and encourage positive behavior supports
• Implement differentiated instruction across all major content areas: Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies
• Collaborate actively with administrators, related service providers, families, and classroom support staff
• Track student progress while ensuring all compliance documentation is up to date
• Establish and maintain a structured, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment

What you bring:

• A valid Georgia Special Education Adapted Curriculum Certification
• Certification in all academic content areas taught at the elementary level
• Demonstrated experience writing and implementing IEPs
• Strong knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and classroom management
• The ability to provide three reference checks (including one recent supervisor reference) is required prior to interviewing
