This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist skilled in supporting early childhood development within a school setting. Working 8:30AM - 3:30PM, you'll provide vital therapy services, fostering independence and growth in children ages 3-5.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist license valid in New York State
  • Experience in school-based occupational therapy, especially with PreK or pediatric populations
  • Expertise in assessment, intervention, and documentation for children ages 3-5
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet a variety of student needs and learning styles

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to PreK students in accordance with IEP goals and school guidelines
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students’ strengths and areas for growth
  • Develop individualized treatment plans targeting fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff, administrators, and families to ensure best student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all sessions and student progress
  • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development initiatives as needed
